Bandhavgarh National Park
Nestled in the quaint village of Vijarhia near the Tala gate of Bandhavgarh National Park, the Tree House Hideaway offers an unparalleled luxury experience. Spread across a sprawling 21-acre lush green forest, this unique resort is more than just a place to stay—it's an adventure. Steeped in local architectural styles and traditional lifestyles, it promises to fulfill every expectation you might have for a thrilling wildlife holiday.
Living amidst the verdant forest in one of our tree houses or venturing into the wild tiger territories provides an exciting range of choices for guests. The property is home to a rich diversity of birds, reptiles, and animals nestled within the tree canopies. Each of our hideaways - Mahua, Tendu, Peepal, Banyan, and Palash - is named after the tree it is built upon, and offers a private retreat amid the treetops.
The tree houses present a rugged, earthy exterior that belies the elegance and comfort within. The interiors reflect a seamless blend of contemporary design and traditional jungle living. The color palette of warm earth tones, combined with eco-friendly amenities, ensures the tree houses merge harmoniously with the natural surroundings.
The resort features five well-spaced tree houses equipped with modern en-suite bathrooms, living areas, minibars, split air-conditioning with 100% power backup, mosquito netting, writing desks, chairs, and loungers on the balconies. Constructed using local craftsmanship and traditional techniques, these tree houses harmonize with the surrounding nature.
Tree House Hideaway dining hall, built around a century-old Mahua tree, spans two levels— a cozy ground floor dining space, and an upper-level bar cum lounge aptly named 'The Watering Hole'. We serve a personalized menu of Indian, Continental, and Barbecue meals tailored to the preferences of our guests.
Kitchens at the Tree House Hideaway are prepared to cater to the food connoisseur in you. From unusual ingredient combinations to handmade ice creams and freshly baked goods, our chefs strive to offer a culinary experience that will make you fall in love with our cuisine. We emphasize celebrating regional culinary traditions and locally sourced ingredients, accentuating the flavor of every dish with freshly ground spices.
We serve a Table d'hôte menu but are open to personalizing meals as per guests' preferences. Our chefs give a healthy spin to kids' favorite dishes like pasta, noodles, and burgers, ensuring a perfect balance of taste and nutrition.
One of our popular offerings, the Baiga Thali, is a tribute to the local Baiga tribe's cuisine, prepared by village ladies on traditional chulhas. The Baiga tribe, an indigenous community found in certain parts of Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and primarily in Mandla and Balaghat District of Madhya Pradesh, is heavily dependent on forest products, including coarse grains like Kodo Millet and Kutki Millet, which form a significant part of their diet.
